They never actually gave a solid reason as to why he left. My guess is that he knew he wasn’t making it on the show and that he’ll probably be cut during the summer so he most likely wanted to be able to sign onto some projects now so he decided to leave mid season. If you’re a new cast member, you don’t normally leave mid season unless you get fired or you know you might be by seasons end
