It's a rather dreadful thought but I suspect that the perks Sudeikis acquired throughout his SNL association(burgeoning movie career, hot girlfriends and increased tabloid profile) may have gotten into his head. Ambition is a good thing but he shouldn't completely forget how he got there. The cryptic nature of his interviews makes one wonder if he's just doing this for more money or as some would say, he wants to leave the show.

I don’t know, you could be right.  I really don’t want to think of him as that type of person because that sounds more like how someone in the cast would’ve been like 20-25 years ago, not current cast members.  In that interview, I think he did say it’s not about the money so it’s not that.  He did say that he’s not able be more creative and he wants a bigger role on the show, he said it could be a “title change”. Read into that anyway you want.

But like I told an anon earlier, it’s a normal thing to stay on the show during an election year especially if you do a political impression that is important, in this case he does both Romney and Biden.  He says to stay on just for the election stuff and be in the public eye isn’t enough for him, then what’s the point of him even staying around? To put the show in a situation where they would have to scramble to find another cast member for that role with only a few weeks to go until the season premiere would be a crappy thing to do.
